Thrift Store-ies

Michael and I have a tradition that after we go our for sushi, we stop at the Goodwill (or our local completely over priced, what they call "anitque" store) to see what we can find. I have quite a few pictures in my phone of the odd things I find there or odd people I see there, so I decided to put them on here for you to enjoy. I dub it "Thrift Store-ies".

This Store-ie occurred today in fact. We were just looking at power cords when a couple went by us, talking very loudly. Here is a pic I managed to snap of the lady in question: (Child's picture pixelized for its protection)






What I heard from this lady next surprised me. She pretty much yelled "If this baby I have in me is a boy, I'm getting rid of it.". The husband/boyfriend proceeded to ask "Wait. Why?!". She responded with "Cause I dont want no damn boy. I aint raising a boy". He said angrily "What the hell? I want a boy!". Her response is the kicker, one for the subject matter, and two for the fact she was saying it loud enough for the next few aisles to hear: "I dont give a fuck. If its a boy...its gone.".

This is the first time I ever was split on a subject. The first thing I thought was "Wow. Thats a ridiculous reason for an abortion!" I was almost full on anti-abortion for a second there. Then I thought "Wow, I'm glad that kid wont be raised by such a person.". Mind you, I'm not pro or anti abortion. I respect all opinions and reasons....except hers.

This first one was a little serious, but future ones will be much funnier. I just sometimes get amazed at the things people say around so many people. I hope you stick with me through these as I learn how to write the things in my head properly. I promise this will get better.
